During your second trimester. Sessions are held based on due dates and availability is limited each month. The earlier you reach out, the better chance you have of securing your preferred timing.

How long does a newborn session take?

Sessions typically run two to four hours, though they are never time-based. We stop as many times as your baby needs to feed or be soothed. The session moves at your baby's pace.

What do I need to bring to my newborn session?

Just your baby. The studio is fully stocked with wraps, props, and wardrobe. You will receive a detailed prep guide before your session with everything you need to know.

How much does a newborn session cost?

Newborn sessions at Sugarloaf Photography start at $495. A $200 retainer is required to reserve your date and is applied toward your total investment.

Do you include family and sibling portraits?

Yes. Family and sibling portraits can be included in your session. Once your date is reserved, we will talk through your vision and whether you would like to add family portraits to your session.

The studio is located at 1 Heighe Street in Bel Air, Maryland, about 30 minutes north of Baltimore. We serve families across Harford County, Baltimore, Baltimore County, Cecil County, and the surrounding Maryland area.

Based in Bel Air and serving families across Harford County, Baltimore, and Maryland, I bring 15 years of specialized newborn experience to every session. You are four days postpartum, running on almost no sleep, trying to remember if you packed enough diapers. The last thing you need is a photographer who makes you feel like you are on a schedule.

At Sugarloaf Photography, the session moves when your baby is ready. I read your baby's cues, adjust the posing accordingly, and handle every detail of the setup so you never have to think about it. You are here to be present. Everything else is mine to manage.

My studio is fully equipped with a curated collection of wraps, props, and wardrobe. It stays warm enough for a sleeping newborn and comfortable enough for parents to settle in. You bring your baby. I handle the rest.
